He was a good farmer, an animal lover, a hard worker and a diligent worker wherever he went, secure everywhere in the army wherever his team was needed and faithful in his work. Grimur was not large in stature, but dense, fleshy and muscular. Grímur did not come to school, but only enjoyed the usual children's education of his time. He read good books, remembered them and was fascinated by them. In particular, the Icelandic sagas will have been conducive to him and increased his ambition and humanity. And I always thought it was his ideal to resemble the best antiquities, to be brave and boyish.
